Founded in 1992 with head office in Alexandria, Egypt, the company provides its customers with over 150 individually developed and customized food ingredients from all over the world. Our company has a massive list of satisfied customers in Egypt as well as all over the Middle East operating in the fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) industries.
AWA Food Additives operates in importing, exporting and distributing of raw materials for the fast moving consumer goods. Its main applications are in the meat and dairy categories in addition to other applications such as beverages, confectionery, bakery, snacks, crackers and fruit preparation. We also offer a comprehensive range of services covering sourcing, logistics and the provision of technical expertise.
AWA Food Additives has a branch located in Cairo under the name of AWA. The company's work force is composed of 120 employees with up to date know-how maintained through continuous education and training. AWA Food Additives was founded by Chemical Engineer Wael Ghandour with the ambition of making his company the region's leader in the provision of high quality, healthy and innovative food ingredients to companies operating in the FMCG industries. Ghandour had the long term vision that in order to place his company ahead of competition, he had to start with the customers' needs and accordingly customize his company's products and services.
